Born in Vic (Barcelona) 1951
Enric Pladevall was born in Vic, Barcelona, in 1951. His career as a sculptor is prolific and he has been recognised with important awards and prizes. His artistic career is well established in the country and abroad. He has shown his works in Barcelona, notably at the Fundación Joan Miró and the Galeria Maeght. He has had exhibitions in Italy, France, South Africa, Singapore, Australia, the USA and Japan.
He has public works in Korea, Barcelona, Vic, Manresa and Girona. One of his outstanding public sculptures are Androgyne Planet in the Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta (USA) and The tree of life for Cosmocaixa (Barcelona). Pladevall’s sculptures are to be found in leading museums and collections, among them the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona, the Museo de Arte Contemporàneo de Madrid, the Museo de Arte Contemporàneo de Cuenca, the Fundación Juan March, Cosmocaixa, Lehigh Art Galleries Museum in Pennysylvania, the Atlanta History Center or the Urban Redevelopment Authority Collection in Singapore.
